DIAH 'O' METER 5/7

I think the main character of this book is not Vivek but Vivek's cousin, Osita. This book definitely has depth.

It hints on reincarnation, because Vivek was told be born on the same day that his grandmother died, and that they carried the same birthmark.

The story implies how (in some cases) incredibly little do parents know about their children despite the amount of time they spend together under the same roof.

The story begins with the death of Vivek, and as we read more into the story, a lot was revealed about Vivek during his short life on earth, and a glance of life in Nigeria.

I thought the ending was alright, but I expected a better wrap-up from a powerful book such as this.
