This book was an absoulte treat. I had not read any of Linwood Barclay’s books before. Ordered this one online after watching an interview with Shari Lapena on YouTube and she said that this book inspired her to write so I was intrigued. And it did not disappoint.

I could see how this book would have inspired Lapena’s The Couple Next Door and A Stranger in the House as likewise, those books introduced the hooks at the very beginning.

This book was gripping and very well-thought, it was enthralling to see how the pieces came together and how everything was thoroughly explained at the end.

Worth reading/ not
