DIAH 'O' METER: 4/7
I think this is my second Lisa Gardner book. Though halfway through the book I felt like I was familiar with the characters Detective D.D. Warren and Flora Dane. Picked this out of the discounted books shelf, because it looked the most intriguing. So, a family of five, four brutally murdered, and one of them got away. Would make most people think that the one who got away was the one who committed the murder. But what is the motive? And is the one who got away really the murderer? This book raises the issue of family and make you think what really is the perfect family. I liked how the author wrote about how the characters spent some time in a foster home and how it had affected them/shaped them to become the person they were. This book also brought about the message of love. But to what extent is love considered love and at what point does it become an obsession?
