DIAH’O’METER : -2/7 okay maybe 1/7 points for the writing style

For someone who has red quite a numerous amount of Jodi Picoult novels, I think it is safe to say that this one was very disappointing. I didn’t even get to finish it. This one was written in a backward style which made it confusing. Okay maybe she was trying to create an innovative format, but eventually I found it very difficult to enjoy. The issue raised was a good one, but I wish she’d had written it a different way. After reading her previous one, Small Great Things, I thought this one was going to be of a similar satisfaction but fell short of it.

Nevertheless, Jodi Picoult is a wordsmith. I always enjoy her writing style. Her books are always easy to read and I like her choice of words. My personal favorites are Leaving Time and The Pact.
