DIAH’O’METER: 4/7

Liane Moriarty likes to write a lot about her characters. A lengthy amount. With details I sometimes think aren’t particularly necessary. Unnecessary amount of wasted time. I’ve red all of her novels so far, except for Big Little Lies, because I’ve seen the series. What got me hooked was The Husband’s Secret. I thought that the end was beautifully written and the use of Berlin Wall as a metaphor was a nice touch. But I don’t feel like this one could be compared with The Husband’s Secret. Too many unnecessary character “build-up”. Best part of the book was Masha’s past and how it shaped her to become the psycho she is. But the ending and overall I must say is pretty average.
